Lions’ Best returns to practice on Wednesday

The Lions were going to take over the NFC North in 2010 and all of the Lions superstars were going to be huge fantasy performers, too. That lasted about a half. Or long enough for Bears DE Julius Peppers to drive Lions QB Matthew Stafford into the Soldier Field turf.
And then rookie sensation RB Jahvid Best looked like a fantasy stud for a number of weeks, before being tripped up by a turf toe.
But there is hope for the Lions. Stafford has returned to practice recently and should start this week against the Redskins. Best also returned to position drills on Wednesday (according to the Detroit Free Press). How about a 9-1 finish to the season, with Stafford, Best and Calvin Johnson putting up huge numbers?
Well, let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet. How about making it through one game first.
