Panthers WR Smith returns to practice

Panthers WR Steve Smith (ankle) returned to full practice on Wednesday. Smith missed the team’s Week 5 game against the Bears, and the Panthers had a bye in Week 6.

Smith should be a solid play this week against the 49ers, partly because of the return of QB Matt Moore. Coach John Fox told reporters that he wanted to go with experience here. But the Panthers are 0-5. I figure that Fox is really just doing fantasy enthusiasts a solid here by bringing back Moore.

Now, Moore could not recapture the magic that helped lead the Panthers to four wins over the five final weeks of the 2009 season. Moore and Smith still had the chemistry to combine for two touchdowns in two games. Smith should be active in your fantasy leagues this week.
