UPDATE: The Lions officially announced that Hill will not return due to a left arm injury.
Drew Stanton has taken over at quarterback for the Lions after a hand injury forced starter Shaun Hill from Sunday’s game against the Giants.
Hill suffered a hand injury on the Lions’ final drive of the first half and was replaced by Stanton, who came out to start the second half. Hill was officially announced as questionable to return, but given he didn’t return to start the third quarter, it seems unlikely we’ll see him again.
Hill had a solid first half, completing 9 of 15 passes for 91 yards and one touchdown.
The emergency quarterback for the Lions is regular starter Matthew Stafford, who hasn’t played since Week 1 because of a shoulder injury.
