Bench Hillis, even if he does start against Steelers

How must it feel to be Browns rookie QB Colt McCoy right now? You are about to get your first NFL career start. But it comes against the Steelers. And if that is not bad enough — and that’s bad — your team’s best player is questionable.
Browns RB Peyton Hillis is questionable this week with a thigh injury, and was limited in practice on Friday. Although, Hillis has shown nothing but guts playing through injuries so I would be surprised if he does not start. But that does not mean that you need to start him. Hillis did have a nice game against Raven earlier this year when everybody advised you to sit him.
But come on, the Steelers have shut down Falcons RB Michael Turner and Titans RB Chris Johnson. I love Hillis. Have even kicked around the idea of purchasing a Hillis’ jersey. I’m not starting him.
The Browns should consider sitting Hillis, to ensure that he will be ready to go when the team goes on its inevitable winning streak at the end of the year to save Eric Mangini‘s job. The games prior to Week 12 are merely training camp for the Browns.
