The Nashville Tennessean reports that Chris Johnson (thigh) was held out of Thursday’s practice. However, he’s in no danger of missing Monday night’s game in Jacksonville.
“I’m still running and doing things,β Johnson said. βIt’s not like I’m just out there watching practice. I was actually in the training room running on the treadmill and keeping my wind up and things like that.β
Titans coach Jeff Fisher said that his superstar running back was experiencing “soreness,” so he simply decided to rest him.
“Last year, he took one practice off with the sore ankle, but we just felt like this was a good opportunity with the extra day and the long week,” Fisher said.
Johnson, who is on pace for 362 carries based on his current numbers, should remain active in all leagues.
