Demaryius Thomas out for Broncos

Broncos rookie WR Demaryius Thomas has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Ravens after taking a violent hit on a kickoff return during the second quarter. The Broncos announced he has head and neck injuries.

Thomas took two hits simultaneously — one high and one low — and was down on the field for several minutes.

Thomas had to be helped up and assisted off the field by trainers, who looked to be checking his neck area on the sideline. Thomas remained on the bench when the Broncos started the next series.

Broncos backup FS Darcel McBath also is out for the remainder of the game with an ankle injury.
