When you think of all of the great fantasy players for the Saints, where would you rank Ladell Betts and Chris Ivory? They were likely an afterthought in your drafts, unless you are playing in a ridiculously deep draft.
And if that is the case, do not invite me to your fantasy drafts next year. Seriously, I am still sore that “fractional points” are an NFL.com default. Really, people? Really?
But now they are fantasy relevant because Pierre Thomas will miss a second consecutive week. And I do not envy anybody who is going to be forced to play either one of these curtain-jerkers.
Although, a matchup against the Cardinals does provide some flex value.
Maybe, though, this will force QB Drew Brees to throw more and maybe that could get him off Dave Dameshek’s fantasy enemies list. Dameshek opines that Brees’ wandering eye makes the team’s receivers fantasy moot because he cannot lock in to just one player. Interesting theory, and if you have started Lance Moore, Robert Meachem or Devery Henderson this week, you probably agree.
