Steve Smith South is going to be an interesting dilemma going forward, because QB Jimmy Clausen has nearly killed his fantasy value. So you have to appreciate it when the receiver is just ruled out for an upcoming game. Who needs this kind of trouble?

And that is what has happened. Smith has been ruled out this week, according to Panthers beat writer Darin Gantt (via Twitter).

Not a huge surprise, mind you, but it does allow you to move on to other options. Like Pierre Garcon for instance. While Garcon is owned in 70 percent of NFL.com leagues, he was a surprise find in our Magazine League. I’m guessing that Nick Bakay dropped him. But that is just a guess.

David Gettis and Brandon LaFell are the Panthers top two receivers. And the team added David Clowney this week.
