The Cardinals are going with Max Hall at quarterback this week according to the Arizona Republic (via Kent Somers‘ Twitter). And you have to imagine that the Cardinals are kicking themselves for cutting ties with the team’s top quarterback this offseason.
You know, WR Anquan Boldin.
Think about it. If the Cardinals still had Boldin, the team could go all Wildcat, just as coach Ken Whisenhunt joked earlier this week. Instead, they are going with the rookie from Brigham Young.
Normally, this advice would be automatic. Because nobody would expect to even think about Hall. But I know some of you have Tom Brady and you do not have a credible backup. Alright, that might just be me. There are, however, much better options than Hall, including Sam Bradford, Bruce Gradkowski and pretty much anybody who is not Jimmy Clausen.
So that’s it … if you are choosing between Hall and Clausen, fantasy football might not be the thing for you.
