Flacco has struggled, but not reason to panic yet

Ravens QB Joe Flacco took a giant step forward in his development as a quarterback as he led his team to a huge win at Heinz Field. Senior columnist Vic Carucci believes so, as he wrote in his Tuesday Huddle column.

But is any of that going to translate to fantasy any time soon? Big games in real life do not mean much in fantasy when you throw only one touchdown against one interception.

Flacco was one of the most coveted quarterbacks in fantasy drafts this year, with many seeing big things for him. But he has failed to live up to those expectations, aside from a three-touchdown performance against the Browns in Week 3. So is it time to pull the plug on Flacco?

Not just yet.

Make sure, when judging Flacco, you recognize that he has played the Jets, Steelers and Bengals. Three pretty tough opponents. So make sure you do not overreact just yet. The Flacco you were expecting in late August should come shining through now.

Flacco has three pretty good matchups coming up against the Broncos, Patriots and Bills. Games that Flacco should be able to post some pretty good numbers. Flacco will be a solid start going forward. In fact, he might be a good candidate to buy low if you can find a frustrated owner trying to make a knee-jerk deal.
