Whisenhunt would welcome Warner; who wouldn’t?

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt feels us as fantasy enthusiasts. Or so I would love to believe. Because Whisenhunt sounds about as exasperated about his current quarterback situation than your typical fantasy owner talking about his injured or ineffective quarterbacks.

Whisenhunt opened his press conference on Monday by saying that his team was going to go all Wildcat against the Saints.

“I think we’re going to go without one this week,” Whisenhunt cracked.

At least he has not lost his sense of humor.

Hey, considering his options, that might not be the worst case scenario. Whisenhunt was continually pressed by the media about the quarterback situation, with somebody asking if they would consider somebody outside of the organization. Again, Whisenhunt was ready with a quip saying that if they could convince Kurt Warner to come back, he would consider it.

Yeah, I think we all would at this point. But the most depressing thing is what this is doing to Larry Fitzgerald who had seven receptions, but only 56 yards against the Chargers. Hard to imagine this situation is going to improve under Max Hall or by sticking with Derek Anderson. But like Whisenhunt, the only thing we can really do at this point is crack jokes and hope for the best.
