UPDATE II: NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported that X-rays showed no broken bones for Vick. Eagles coach Andy Reid indicated Vick will have an MRI exam on Monday.
UPDATE: The Eagles announced at the beginning of the third quarter that Vick will not return to the game with rib and chest injuries.
A punishing hit has sent Michael Vick to the locker room and Kevin Kolb into the game at Lincoln Financial Field.
Vick suffered a rib injury early in the second quarter and has been taken to the locker room for X-rays. The Eagles announced his return as questionable.
Vick was injured when he was hit simultaneously from each side by DeAngelo Hall and Kareem Moore at the end of a 23-yard run. He was in obvious pain as he made his way off the field, and appeared to be motioning toward his right rib area.
Kolb replaced Vick immediately following his injury to finish the drive, and returned on the Eagles’ ensuing drive. For now, it looks like Kolb’s show against the Redskins and Donovan McNabb.
