Eagles CB Asante Samuel is the latest player who has exited from Sunday’s game at Lincoln Financial Field and won’t return. It was announced late during the fourth quarter that Samuel is suffering from a concussion.
Samuel left the game early during the fourth quarter after an odd play in which he was hit in the head by the leg of Redskins FB Mike Sellers, who had attempted to hurdle several defenders after a short reception.
Samuel was able to leave the field on his own.
The Eagles earlier lost QB Michael Vick (rib and chest) and WR Riley Cooper (concussion) who were announced as out, while CB Jorrick Calvin (shoulder) was listed as questionable to return. Mike Bell also left the game with what appeared to be a left knee injury, but no word has been released on his status.
