Saints RB Thomas limited in practice

The Super Bowl hangover typically wipes out the team that loses the big game. Yet, three games into the 2010 season and Peyton Manning is humming along (much to my chagrin) while the Saints are starting to battle injuries that has created a revolving door at running back.
Pierre Thomas was limited in practice on Friday and is considered a game-day decision. Obviously, game-day decisions are terrible for many reasons, which we have discussed before. And Thomas is i no better position than Jahvid Best, Ray Rice or Steven Jackson. Thomas is listed as questionable.
Ladell Betts would be expected to start in Thomas’ absence, and that is likely to draw as much confidence as hearing that, well, Ladell Betts is expected to start. Honestly, has the well of quality running backs run this dry? There is not some guy from some obscure school in the WAC that can rise to the occasion here? So trouble.
Good luck to you if you become that desperate.
