Texans DE Connor Barwin was carted off the field after a nasty collision with a teammate during the first quarter of Sunday’s season opener against the Colts.

Giants TE Kevin Boss was carted off the field during the first quarter of Sunday’s season opener. The team said Boss was having his neck evaluated and is questionable to return against the Panthers.

Veteran RB Kevin Smith is inactive for the Lions’ season opener against the Bears while he recovers from a knee injury sustained last season.

Aaron Ross went from doubtful to out after the Giants listed the cornerback as inactive for Sunday’s season opener against the Panthers. Ross was limited in practice because of a foot injury.
