The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Pierre Thomas as unable to practice on Thursday due to a problematic ankle. He’s looking like a game-time decision to face the Carolina Panthers this week.

The Saints still haven’t promoted DeShawn Wynn from the practice squad, though, which is a sign that they’re holding out hope that Thomas will be available.

In the interim, fantasy owners lacking backfield depth should look to add Ladell Betts off the waiver wire. He’s worth a look in larger leagues as insurance with Thomas’ status in question.
