Total Access: Who is on the hot seat?

Every week in the NFL there are winners, and there are losers. Eventually, over a long enough period of time, coaches pay the price for being in the latter category too often.

After three weeks of the season, it’s time to assess which coaches could be in real danger of not holding onto their jobs. The media barometer for said position is the Hot Seat, and it will be a topic of discussion on “NFL Total Access” on Tuesday (that’s 7 p.m. EST).

Host Fran Charles will lead analyst Charles Davis and insider Michael Lombardi in a look at five coaches sitting in the Hot Seat. Having just left the “Total Access” planning meeting, a lengthy debate took place before the final five took form: Tom Cable, Tom Coughlin, Jack Del Rio, John Fox and Mike Singletary.

Eric Mangini and Wade Phillips were in the conversation.

Tune in to “Total Access” to find out which coaches could be on the Hot Seat. In the meantime, who does and doesn’t belong on this list?
