Jackson says groin injury is a strain

The St. Louis Rams got a piece of good news on Monday, as Steven Jackson announced his groin injury was only a strain, and not a tear.

Jackson underwent an MRI exam after suffering the injury in the second quarter in Sunday’s win over the Redskins.

“I’m walking around pretty cool,” Jackson added via Twitter before the exam.

While Jackson’s availability is uncertain at this point for Sunday’s home game against Seattle, one report is linking them to interest in free-agent Larry Johnson.
