As Michael Vick continues to pile up points — up to nearly 40 points in some leagues — we need to thank Andy Reid for coming to his senses and starting the embattled quarterback this week.
Because you know if this was Todd Haley, he would have seen just how awesome Vick has been playing and immediately benched him. Fearing that his team might actually put up some points. (Though, Haley is 3-0, so that laugh is on me.)
So is now the time to deal Vick? Striking while the iron is hot? Let’s be honest, he has not been beating up the 1986 Bears. But no, the upcoming schedule looks pretty good, too. Washington, San Francisco and Atlanta. Vick should be good to start in all of those games. So let’s not overthink ourselves here. Vick is going to be a great start for another couple of weeks at least. Like Reid, we should all be riding this hot streak.
