Judging from the initial reaction, the leg injury that sidelined Vikings TE Visanthe Shiancoe on Sunday doesn’t appear serious.
Shiancoe, who left against the Lions during the third quarter, wouldn’t discuss the nature of his injury after the game, but he told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora it doesn’t appear serious and he expects to be back following the team’s bye in Week 4.
Vikings coach Brad Childress told reporters he believes it was a muscle injury, but didn’t sound overly concerned, saying “I think he’ll be OK.”
The Vikings’ passing game struggled again against the Lions and can ill-afford to lose Shiancoe.
