Vick poses interesting question this week

Why did I even bother drafting Brett Favre this year?
After agonizing last week between Favre and Lions QB Matthew Stafford, the question this week is to start Favre or Eagles QB Michael Vick, who is expected to start with Kevin Kolb missing practice on Friday. Both are ranked right next to each other in this week’s rankings, so that is no help.
The Vikings should bounce back following a season-opening loss at New Orleans. But Favre’s contribution will likely be to hand off the ball to Adrian Peterson.
Vick seems like a better play because he can run and he should have a much better day passing the ball. Remember, Bears QB Jay Cutler torched the Lions pass defense last week. And while Vick is not the classic drop-back passer, he should have enough room to operate against the Lions. The only thing that scares me is if the Lions will have an advantage of game-planning for Vick, even though coach Andy Reid will not completely rule out Kolb playing this week.
After talking with scouting guru Bucky Brooks, that might be overthinking things a bit. So if you are one of those guys who needs to look at emergency options this week, Vick should be a safe play.
