Start or not to start Randy Moss, that is the question

Fantasy killer Darrelle Revis will presumably be on Patriots WR Randy Moss in Week 2, which leads to an interesting question — to play or not to play Moss this week.

There are certain times in every fantasy season when you are hoisted on your own petard, and expected to flame out with your fantasy stars. Is this one of those times? Probably.

You just can’t sit your stars, even when one faces unenviable odds. Plus, Moss had a touchdown against Revis last year, so you don’t want to be left kicking yourself later. Trust me, it’s a lot easier to swallow your fantasy stars failing to show up than having them sitting on your bench and scoring points. These are clearly the times that will test your fantasy mettle. But if you used a second-round pick on Moss, you have to start him.

One thing overlooked in this matchup is that Wes Welker will probably have the most fantasy points of anybody this season, going against Antonio Cromartie and that rookie from Boise State, Kyle Wilson. After watching Anquan Boldin run wild from the slot last week, expect more of the same from Welker.
