Here is a little friendly advice for all of you fantasy enthusiasts — make sure your lineup is set the way you want it before you start running your mouth.

I have been sending text message after text message to a childhood chum I am playing this morning. All of them coming after Hakeem Nicks scored a touchdown. All of them containing expletives.

Finally, after Nicks third touchdown and my most obnoxious text, my friend hit me back with a simple, “Look at your roster, slick.”

Turns out Nicks’ three touchdowns and 25 fantasy points are on the bench. Not that it matters because Matthew Stafford decided to get hurt in Week 1, but still. That is rather embarrassing. So kids, make sure you set your lineups before you pop off.

As for Nicks, he’s going to have about five touchdowns this season, right? That would be my luck.
