Bob Sanders‘ bad luck with injuries struck again in the season opener.
The Colts’ veteran safety, who has missed 24 games the past two seasons because of various ailments, injured his elbow against the Texans and is questionable to return.
Sanders managed to play in just two games last season because of an arm injury. It wasn’t immediately known if his latest injury was to the same arm.
UPDATE: Sanders wasn’t the only Colts player returning from injury to be hurt in the debut. NFL.com’s Steve Wyche reports that WR Anthony Gonzalez is questionable to return after sustaining an ankle injury. Gonzalez suffered a knee injury in last season’s opener and didn’t play the rest of the season.
