Best is top rookie in early going

Lions RB Jahvid Best has scored a pair of first-half touchdowns making him the first Lions player to score two rushing touchdowns in his first game since Billy Sims did it against the Los Angeles Rams in 1980.
Sims finished with three touchdowns and went on to win the rookie of the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1980.
Best has shown no rookie nerves, but Bills RB C.J. Spiller has struggled out of the gate against the Dolphins. Spiller is somebody who has been predicted — at least in this space — to put up huge numbers for the Bills. A long touchdown is still in the offering, though. I can feel it.
Buccaneers WR Mike Williams grabbed a touchdown reception. Williams, again here and in the chats, has been a name that’s been talked about a lot.
