Ray Lewis let it be known on Thursday that — in his opinion — until the Jets have won something, they haven’t won anything.
The rant by Lewis was in response to the ongoing chatter from his former defensive coordinator, Rex Ryan, and the rest of the New York Jets. Ryan joined “NFL Total Access” on Thursday and had his chance to respond. Rich Eisen asked Ryan how he responds to the criticism that the Jets talk too much without having won a trophy.
“Well, the Jets actually did win a trophy, it just was a few years ago,” Ryan said. “Quite honestly, we’re not worried about sneaking up on anybody and all that. If you have confidence in your team, then I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. These are my opinions. Everything comes from me. Hey, I feel like we have the best team in the National Football League, and the beauty of it is, we get to go out and prove it.”
Ryan touched on a number of topics, so check out the video for his take on the return of CB Darrelle Revis, the development of QB Mark Sanchez and more.
