Chris Johnson stakes claim as NFL’s best back

Chris Johnson and Adrian Peterson will just have to agree to disagree.

On Wednesday, Peterson told “The Dan Patrick Show” he is a better running back than Johnson, pointing out there wasn’t “anything” Johnson does better. Looking for the follow up on Thursday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean asked Johnson how he compares himself to Peterson.

“I don’t,” Johnson responded. “I am the best back in the league. He is not. I don’t think it is close. I feel like I am above all the other running backs in the league. I feel like I am above him.”

Kudos to Wyatt for keeping this one going.

Peterson will have chance to respond on the field tonight against the Saints.
