Raiders WR Murphy is a name that keeps popping up

It’s nearly impossible to avoid looking at the Oakland Raiders when looking for potential sleepers. Even though we know better. Fantasy Live host Michelle Beisner continues to cling to TE Zach Miller as a potential sleeper this year. And I would agree with that. But WR Louis Murphy continues to have his name dropped in the potential sleeper category. In fact, the Contra Costa Times’ Jerry McDonald told Raiders fans in a recent chat that he believes that Murphy will lead the team in yards and touchdowns this season.

And yes, I believe that he is serious.

Normally being the leader in yards and touchdowns for the Raiders means about as much being, well the guy who led the Raiders in yards and touchdowns. Mainly because they neither gain many nor score any.

So I would not advocate picking up Murphy unless you have a spot on your roster after the loss of Montario Hardesty or something. But Murphy is somebody to keep an eye on this weekend.
