Fantasy or Reality: Should you start Forte?

Is Bears RB Matt Forte a good start against the Lions? NFL.com fantasy editor Michael Fabiano admits that he has some sort of Pavlovian response when his players face the Lions. But that might have made sense in the past. Add in new coordinator Mike Martz and Forte looks like an excellent start.

One thing that people tend to forget is that teams in the NFL change from year to year. A team that is low one season, can rally back the following year. Bucky Brooks makes a good point that the Lions have vastly improved on defense and it seems like a mistake to overlook them. Plus, the Bears have had some problems protecting the quarterback.

I would probably be more cautious with Forte and take a wait-and-see approach with him. There is certainly potential for the Bears offense. Both potentially good and potentially bad.
