Cards RB Wells sits; Fitzgerald is a go

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells missed practice on Wednesday, while WR Larry Fitzgerald participated completely.
Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said on Tuesday that Wells progress will be monitored during the week. So fantasy enthusiasts are now encouraged to push the panic button. Kidding. But obviously this could be a huge blow for a player that many are counting on in their fantasy leagues this year.
I blame Kurt Warner for this. No, seriously. If Warner was playing, then we could ignore the Cardinals running backs like we always have. And seeing that Warner just recently joined the NFL Network family, I will be sure to let him hear about it.
Fitzgerald’s participation is good news for those of you who have faith in the Cardinals top receiver. I personally stayed away from Fitzgerald, but Michael Fabiano raised a point about good receivers thriving with bad quarterbacks. I’m not sure that I completely endorse that notion as it seems that somebody was trying to justify that pick, but that was well reasoned.
