Apparently the Bills can see what the rest of us can see because Jason La Canfora is reporting that the Bills will select rookie RB C.J. Spiller as the team’s starter on Wednesday.

This is good news for anybody who either a.) picked Spiller in their fantasy draft or 2.) Nick Bakay.

Spiller looked really good for the Bills during preseason, and I do not expect things to change much. Although our own Bucky Brooks has said that you should temper your enthusiasm about Spiller because the Bills figure to be behind in a lot of games. And that is one way of looking at it.

But, as I have stated here all along, the Bills do not have a lot of offensive weapons. Spiller is it. The Bills are going to lean on him, no matter what the score. Spiller is the only guy who is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. The Bills will have to use him.
