Sapp: Leinart won’t be an NFL starter

The Matt Leinart storyline is fascinating, and we’re not done talking about it.

A resolution to Leinart’s short-term future is expected soon, and many believe that future won’t be in Arizona. In the meantime, Warren Sapp and Michael Lombardi shared their thoughts on whether Leinart has what it takes to lead a franchise. Sapp doesn’t believe that the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner will be an NFL starter again.

“Leave all the accolades and your trophy at home,” Sapp said. “When you come into this league, it’s time to earn your stripes. This is a grown man’s game, and we’re feeding our families here. He doesn’t seem to like the competition.”
