The Lions have a sneaky number of potential sleepers, breakouts and dudes who will be better than you think this year. QB Matthew Stafford is a favorite of our editor Craig Ellenport. I am found of RB Jahvid Best and WR Calvin Johnson (but who isn’t). The key for this team? The offensive line.

Chargers backup RB Mike Tolbert got a goal-line carry last week, and the hysteria among fantasy enthusiasts was palpable. Rookie RB Ryan Mathews was going to lose carries on the goal line, some yelped. Like they were George Costanza or something.

Texans RB Arian Foster will be benched for the entire season!

At least that is the snap judgement in this edition of Overreaction Theater.

There is a guy in my Corona Football Fantasy League — lets call him Jimmy, because that is his name — who is my absolute foil. I like a player, Jimmy always ends up taking him one round before I get a chance.

One my top sleepers, breakout guy, or dude who is going to be better than you think is Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw. Maybe it is the years of disappointment that I had with Brandon Jacobs, or my belief that Eli Manning cannot toss for 4,000 yards again, but Bradshaw is the goods.

Chiefs RB Thomas Jones fumbled on his first attempt on Saturday night. Jones should be happy that Gary Kubiak is not his coach, otherwise, he would be buried on the bench.

You can already see the difference Donovan McNabb makes with the Redskins. On third-and-14, McNabb hit TE Chris Cooley for a 15-yard reception for a first down.

The fantasy value of Greg Olsen took a tremendous hit once Mike Martz became the Bears offensive coordinator. Martz’s offenses use a tight end the same way that Tony Dungy uses blue language. So with Martz’s hiring, we lost a possible breakout fantasy tight end.
