Palmer’s passing fancy coming into focus

QB Carson Palmer started the preseason efficient, working diligently to ease WR Terrell Owens into the lineup. Almost to the exclusion of everybody else.
But his past two recent performances have given some hope that Palmer could be effective as a spot starter and a reliable backup to some of the bigger names out there. Maybe even a sneaky No. 1 quarterback.
Palmer looked more decisive on Saturday and was spreading the ball around more, going 9 of 11 for 95 yards and two touchdowns against the Bills. One of those scoring tosses went to TE Jermaine Gresham who is somebody to keep an eye on in fantasy drafts this season.
WR Chad Ochocinco finally got into the act, too, getting his first touchdown of the preseason.
