Pay attention to Cards’ play calling with Anderson

Apparently, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt has seen enough of QB Matt Leinart. Now he wants to see what Derek Anderson can do.
Anderson will get the start for the Cardinals on Saturday, according to Darren Urban (via the team’s official Twitter).
The third preseason game is considered the final dress rehearsal before the regular season commences. Urban tweeted that Whisenhunt does not think that the move is permanent. But we heard that before when Whisenhunt made Warner the starter a few years back.
Does this help increase the fantasy value of some of the other players such as Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston and others? Not necessarily. But Anderson does a better job of throwing the ball down the field and at least running the offense in a similar fashion to the way Kurt Warner ran the team. So pay close attention to the Cardinals’ play calling.
One of the knocks against Leinart was that he checked down way too much, maybe not wanting to make a mistake. Anderson will throw the ball downfield, but not always with the best results. He needs to go out and impress the coaches with his decison making ability, decisiveness and leadership on the field. Places where Leinart has fallen behind.
Fitzgerald also returned to practice, running in shells, according to Urban, but that news suddenly becomes secondary.
