Graham elevated to Eagles’ first team

The Eagles traded up 11 spots on draft day to take DE Brandon Graham with the 13th overal pick, and the rookie is proving it was a wise move.

Graham has been moved to the top of the depth chart at left defensive end, taking reps with the first unit ahead of veteran Juqua Parker.

“I guess right now it’s a test for me, as it always is, to know that you did good, but now you have to fight to keep it,” Graham told the team’s official site. “That’s all I’m trying to do is make sure I keep it.”

The move was made prior to Sunday’s practice, per CSNPhilly.com, and Graham confirmed the promotion Tuesday. Graham, who had been working with the first-team in nickel packages, now teams with Trent Cole.

Graham comments on the move at the end of this Eagles Report.
