Daniels one step closer to returning for Texans

The plan, according to Owen Daniels, has always been to play Week 1 against the Colts. He took another positive step in that process on Tuesday.

Daniels, who his making his way back from a torn ACL he suffered in Week 8 last season, told Fox 26 television in Houston via text that “scan and MRI say I’m 100 percent.” Daniels indicated he would visit Dr. James Andrews, who performed the surgery, on Wednesday, the final step in getting clearance to practice full speed.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak has suggested we could see Daniels in the final preseason game if he’s cleared to return.
