A Warner return? That would be pretty cool

NFL.com senior columnist Vic Carucci pointed out in his Tuesday Huddle that many would be clamoring for Kurt Warner — the Kurt Warner Machine if you will — to come out of retirement to save the Cardinals franchise. Or your fantasy team.
A nice thought, but it is not happening. If you follow Warner’s Twitter account at all, you would know that he has no interest in coming back.
So while I appreciate the sentiment, there is no chance. And now you have to wonder what this is going to do for the fantasy stars of the Cardinals.
WR Larry Fitzgerald will still come off the board early, leaving somebody to curse Matt Leinart‘s name. Somebody will take Steve Breaston, hoping for Anquan Boldin-like production. But he figures to be more along the lines of Bryant Johnson.
The only hope for this franchise is that Beanie Wells (and Tim Hightower) can really take the reins running the football to take the pressure off the quarterback. Haven’t seen it yet.
So instead we will sit and dream about a Warner return.
