Loving the Lions offensive line right now

The Lions have a sneaky number of potential sleepers, breakouts and dudes who will be better than you think this year. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is a favorite of our editor Craig Ellenport. I am fond of RB Jahvid Best and WR Calvin Johnson (but who isn’t). The key for this team? The offensive line.

The offensive line is playing very well tonight. Best looked great, rushing eight times for 50 yards. Stafford has been given plenty of time to succeed and spread the ball around. Nobody touched Stafford during the first half. In fact, you probably don’t have to even wash his jersey — it looked pretty clean.

Stafford was 13 of 17 for 132 yards and a touchdown, leading the Lions to 16 first-half points. Not a bad outing.
