Knock me over with a feather: QB Brett Favre has returned to the Vikings. Not that anybody is surprised.

Honestly, who didn’t see this coming? We will all get a chance to see Favre this week when the Vikings take on the 49ers.

As I wrote earlier this week, the Vikings have their quarterback now — how about some receivers? WRs Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice are sidelined. I look for Bernard Berrian to be Favre’s main target, along with TE Visanthe Shiancoe.

Vikings rookie RB Toby Gerhart will make a return to the Bay Area, following a standout career at Stanford.

The 49ers will be without their big three — TE Vernon Davis, WR Michael Crabtree and RB Frank Gore. So, what is there to watch. Is Brian Westbrook going to get a chance to play?
