There have been no shortage of opinions on Brett Favre returning to the Vikings, and there will certainly be more. When it comes to those opinions, very few people know Favre better than NFL Network analyst Steve Mariucci.

Mariucci joined NFL Total Access on Wednesday to discuss Favre’s return with host Rich Eisen and Rod Woodson, so catch the full discussion in the video above. Mariucci offered one very interesting opinion on the impact of Favre’s return for fellow quarterbacks Sage Rosenfels and Tarvaris Jackson.

“I think if you talk to Tarvaris (Jackson) and to Sage (Rosenfels), I think they know deep down in their hearts that they have a better chance to win with No. 4 playing,” Mariucci said. “I know they would both like to play, and they’re both very capable, but I think they know deep down Brett gives them a better chance to win.”
