Redskins receivers should have you thinking Cooley

The Washington Post describes the competition among the Redskins receivers as “intense.” Not quite the adjective that I would be using here.
Santana Moss is the Redskins’ No. 1 receiver. And he should be the only receiver on your fantasy radar right now. The rest of the collection of has-beens and never-will-bes is low-lighted by Joey Galloway.
Which leads me to a point that I have been beating into the ground all summer, Chris Cooley is going to have a huge comeback season. And that got started on Saturday night. Watching these games, it really sticks out just how shallow the Redskins receiving corps is.
Cooley had three receptions for 33 yards in just the first quarter, a shade of things to come, indeed. With Donovan McNabb‘s history of targeting tight ends and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan known for developing offenses that benefit tight ends, I am now more convinced than ever about Cooley’s upcoming monster 2010 season.
