Cooley, Miller, Shiancoe among late-round TE gems

Here is something you never want to get into the habit of doing — recommending Raiders for your fantasy team. This is kind of like telling people to invest in penny stocks. Seems like a too-good-to-be-true proposition, and it typically is.
Just ask anybody who bit on Darren McFadden last year.
But when the inevitable run on tight ends start in your fantasy draft, relax, you have some options. One of them includes a — wait for it — Raider.
You all should be familiar with my thoughts on Redskins TE Chris Cooley. Zach Miller is another guy that you should keep an eye on.
The Oakland Tribune reports that Jason Campbell has already developed a chemistry with Miller, and the quarterback has been looking for the tight end in the red zone.
“I really like it with that whole group, but those two guys are really starting to develop something, for sure,” coach Tom Cable told the Tribune. “You take him in the red zone; you need a touchdown in that situation. You saw who he went to.”
The Raiders have a favorable schedule. The offense cannot help but be better. So while this will be the second time in two weeks that I have said something good about a Raiders player, I fully endorse Miller this season. I would even target him ahead of guys like Kellen Winslow and Owen Daniels, who are currently ahead of him in NFL.com’s fantasy rankings.
And as an aside, it goes without saying that Visanthe Shiancoe‘s stock is rising, too, right? Cool. Glad to see we are all on the same page here.
