It’s Curtis Painter time. That means Peyton Manning’s day is done.
We’re receiving our first look at the Colts on Sunday against the 49ers — with a few exceptions — and all appears to be status quo with Manning. He completed 8 of 10 passes for 91 yards during two first-quarter series, spreading the ball to six different receivers while leading to Colts to 10 points.
Then he called it a day. As you’d expect, with just two games on the bill, this is what we’re watching.
The Colts held out several big names Sunday, including WR Pierre Garcon and TE Dallas Clark. Two others — SS Bob Sanders and DE Dwight Freeney – also weren’t expected to play, according to The Indianapolis Star.
