There has been a feeling that WR Malcom Floyd was going to be the guy to step up during Vincent Jackson‘s absence in San Diego. Philip Rivers even told me as much.
And Floyd may be that guy. But Legedu Naanee saw three targets very early for the Chargers, including a 28-yard touchdown pass on a nice throw by Rivers.
Still, I am sticking with Floyd to be a potential breakout receiver. Naanee is a nice receiver, but Floyd has the size and can do so much more. But if Naanee could develop as a solid No. 2 receiver, that could only help increase Floyd’s value because teams will not be able to key on him.
