Ravens hold out Reed, Webb and Washington

One of the biggest question marks surrounding the Baltimore Ravens during training camp has been the depth in the secondary, and Thursday night’s list of inactive players shows just how stretched that unit is.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh has decided to play it safe and rest Ed Reed, Lardarius Webb and Fabian Washington, as well as backup Chris Carr.
With the Ravens minus their top four cornerbacks — Domonique Foxworth tore his ACL before camp — look for Travis Fisher and Cary Williams to start.
The Ravens will also be without starting RT Jared Gaither, so Oniel Cousins will get the start.
The rest of the Ravens’ inactives: DB Marcus Paschal, RB Matt Lawrence, DB K.J. Gerard and LB Brendon Ayanbadejo.
The Panthers deactivated 11 players: Chris Gamble, Aaron Francisco, Jonathan Stewart, Mike Goodson, Jordan Senn, Thomas Davis, Garry Williams, Jeff Otah, Charly Martin, Trent Guy and Steve Smith.
