Steve Wyche checked in from Titans camp on “Around the League” on Tuesday with some updates on Kenny Britt, Derrick Morgan and the battle at left cornerback.
- While Britt has had a somewhat forgettable offseason, Wyche reported that coach Jeff Fisher believes Britt will be even better during his second NFL season.
- Morgan, who is currently battling a calf injury, is about 10 days away from being fully healthy, says Wyche. Morgan is expected to play in the final two preseason games and will likely open the season behind Jacob Ford.
- Per Wyche, the competition at left cornerback is wide open. Jason McCourty appears to be the front-runner, ahead of Ryan Mouton and Tye Hill. Don’t sleep on rookie Alterraun Verner, who Wyche says Fisher is very high on.
