Millen preaches patience for Vikings

While uncertainty surrounds Brett Favre, his ankle and his return to the Minnesota Vikings, the wait continues.
As we wait for Favre Watch to unfold, one logical question for the Vikings is this: How long should they wait? Former Detroit Lions GM Matt Millen was an in-studio analyst on “NFL Total Access” on Tuesday, and made it clear he believes Favre is worth the wait.
“I would be very, very patient,” Millen said, making an astute analogy to Neidermeyer in Animal House. “If I’m the Minnesota Vikings, and I hear what’s going on, they’ve already made the requisite work and made the calls. They know better than we know. I would be very patient. How patient would I be? … As long as we’re still in it, he’s welcome.”
Granted, all of this depends on when/if Favre deems himself healthy.
Host Fran Charles did pose an interesting question for Millen and fellow analyst Jim Mora, asking if they would go through what the Vikings are going through in order to get Favre back.
“Absolutely. He’s one of a kind,” Mora said.
Added Millen, “Not even a question.”
