The reports of Dolphins QB Pat White being traded, released, out for the season with an injury or simply disappearing into thin air, never to be heard from again, turned out to be a bit premature.
White was a no-show on Friday, leading to speculation on his future with the team when the Dolphins didn’t comment. Once source told the Florida Sun-Sentinel on Friday that White could miss the entire regular season with a serious, non-football related issue.
Whatever the cause, White was back at practice on Saturday and took part in all team drills. Coach Tony Sparano told the team’s official site that White “was dealing with a personal health issue” that has been resolved.
We hope whatever White has going on off the field gets resolved in a good way. On the field, though, things might get a bit more competitive as the Dolphins are scheduled to bring in AFL QB Tommy Grady for a workout on Monday, according to The Daily Oklahoman.
According to the Dolphins, Evan Oglesby was absent for the second straight day due to sickness but is expected to return soon.
