I wouldn’t be surprised if Terrell Owens never flies commercial again.
The video of Owens’ arrival at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport — which took place a couple of hours ago — just landed in the NFL newsroom, and it had all the makings of a reality show. Which, actually, it probably will be soon.
Owens — in a black hat, black T-shirt and black warmup pants and carrying a backpack — was mobbed by fans and a handful of media cameras as he walked through the concourse of the airport. Fans yelled, pointed cameras and yelled “Who Dat?” Owens conducted an interview on an escalator.
Owens appeared in a fine mood, and given that he’s probably in the process of putting ink to paper right about now to sign his one-year contract, he probably should have been. He didn’t appear bothered and was able to get through the madness without saying much, other than “I’m very excited.”
Fans followed Owens all the way to the parking garage, where he denied several last requests for a “Who Dat?” into one fan’s cell phone before climbing into a white truck.
I’ll try to get our video crew to rack up this clip for you soon. Now back to football.
